I feel privileged to share in perhaps the most joyous, emotion-filled day in the lives of my clients. I enjoy the opportunity to capture not just the details of the day, but the feelings of it as well. With the multitude of things happening on a couple's wedding day, it's easy to forget much of what happens during this special event. Often it is the photos that become the memories. Choosing a photographer is choosing how you will remember your special day.
My style of photography is portrait journalism. Striking the perfect blend of traditional wedding photography with a love for the photojournalistic approach, I combine these two styles to capture the very best of you on your wedding day. I want to tell the story of your wedding day in an unobtrusive and artistic way.

I first started photographing weddings soon after college with a 30 year old, manual film camera that I got from my future mother-in-law. That was 12 years ago. Things have changed a lot since then and digital technology has come a long way. I now shoot with a Canon 40D.
My love for photography began in college, I took photography 101 as an art major and I loved the smell of the darkroom. Hours melted away as pictures magically appeared on photo paper in chemical baths. Those days are long gone which is probably better for my health. But my love for photography continues to grow. I was fortunate enough to be able to travel around the world in the years following college. Photographing the Himalayas, Vietnam, Paris and the like was a dream come true. The photos I take are the souvenirs of my life. Now with three small boys, they are treasures, little moments of time that are captured...otherwise forgotten.
